Workforce training and development, Florida community colleges
Joan Tiller served for 26 years as Valencia’s assistant vice president for workforce development and business administration. She has since served as an emeritus assistant vice president for workforce development and a higher education consultant. Inaddition to her work at Valencia, she has served on many statewide task forces addressing workforce and employment needs.
Tiller earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and later earned her master’s degree in education from USF. In addition to working in community colleges, she also worked in the Hillsborough County School System.
